Estimate and Estimate Items

Some fields on the estimate and the estimate item are legacy fields and are no longer used in our calculations. Some fields also have names that are not easy to relate to the values you see on the screen. To help with understanding the mapping between the raw data and what you see on the screen, use the following lookup information.

On the estimate costing screen, you will see the following list of totals at the bottom of the screen.
The mapped fields in the estimate data are shown on the right.

Sub Total (Ex) = Total
Markup = Markup
Total Ex GST = TotalIncMarkup
GST = TaxIncMarkup
Quote Total = TotalIncMarkupTax

On the estimate costing screen you will see the following columns for estimate items.
The mapped fields in the estimate data are shown on the right.

Unit Cost (Ex) = UnitCost
Total (Ex) = Total
Markup = Markup (just the item level percentage)

If you want the dollar amount of markup, this is calculated as:
= TotalIncMarkup - Total

Note that the actual markup dollar amounts are based on the item markup, category markup, estimate markup and redistributions.
Therefore, you cannot calculate it based on just applying the item level-markup percentage alone.

GST = The tax rate displayed comes from taking the TaxRates field and looking up that entry in the JSON data in the TaxContext field.
Quote Total = TotalIncTax
